FTV Prima - Lawo VSM, Power Core and V__line in Action

By the end of 2019, one of the strongest Czech TV stations - FTV Prima - moved to a new building equipped with cutting-edge IP-enabled technology.

ELEKTRONIKA delivered, installed and configured several important components of this broadcast facility:

  • 10x Lawo V__pro8 video processors with SDI (de)embedding, video routing, audio routing of SDI audio & MADI, color correction and Dolby E encoding & decoding
  • 1x Lawo Power Core standalone modular audio router with native RAVENNA / AES67 / SMPTE ST2110, SMPTE 2022-7 connectivity
  • 2x Lawo V__remote4 SDI & IP video & audio processing enabled for raw and J2K streaming
  • 1x Lawo V__matrix versatile software-defined hardware platform with vm_udx software enabling 8 frame-sync and up/down/cross processing paths and audio embedding & deembedding with both SDI & IP connectivity
  • an extensive Lawo VSM control & monitoring system concentrating 3 studios with their PCR's and ACR's, MCR and smaller post-production spaces into one organized platform

VSM takes control of:

  • 2 large Imagine routers (routing) with integrated multiviewers (tally, UMD)
  • 10 V__pro8 small hybrid routers - video and audio routing, processing parameters
  • 1x Power Core - internal audio routing
  • 2x V__remote4 - internal video and audio routing, processing parameters
  • 2x vm_udx - internal video and audio routing, processing parameters
  • Dante network routing - including approx. 50 devices with overall channel count about 2000x2000
  • SMPTE ST2110 routing - including Lawo V__matrix, V__remote4 and Power Core
