National Theatre in Czech Republic's capital Prague has not only an extraordinary beautiful historical building located on the right bank of the Vltava river, it's got also first-class audio equipment in it.
The heart of the National Theatre's audio is a distributed Lawo system consisting of two mc2 66 consoles, five DALLIS stageboxes and a central Nova73 router, which has been in operation since 2008 and allows extreme versatility of the devices whether for a live performance or recording, including rights management for accessing the I/O parameters for individual microphones and numerous user functions speeding up the operators' workflow.

In autumn 2022 we delivered a new IP-native 48-fader Lawo mc2 56mkIII with its processing core Lawo A__UHD which follows up on the existing infrastructure, being able not only to load the legacy productions and snapshots but also being able to use the existing DALLIS stageboxes. This handy Lawo's backward compatibility allows for a stepwise technology exchange and upgrade at National Theatre without affecting its operation. The advantages of the upcoming full-IP operation of audio production at National Theatre are clear: SMPTE ST2110 native audio transport with potential SMPTE ST2022-7 hitless merge redundancy matching the current industry standards bringing possible integration with other modern systems, new management platform HOME which makes the routing and rights management more visible and making use of the massive amount of DSP inside the A__UHD core.
