By the end of 2020, we delivered a powerful compliance recording system to RTVS, who is as all broadcasters obliged to record its own TV channels and store this for 45 days. We chose a perfect system Actus which offers and ideal feature set for this application:

• simultaneous recording of multiple compressed transport streams
• downscaling during recording, compression
• burning TV channel name, date and time into image during recording
• subtitles recording (teletext, DVB etc.)
• recording of multiple audio tracks (Slovak, original language, Dolby, audio description for eye impaired viewers)
• clip edit and export
• library of exported clips
• multiple users with different rights
• automatic alignment with incoming as-run data (timetable with programme names and time slots)
• loudness logging
• dashboard and email notifications
• secure HTML5 web browser access

The solution is fully redundant (main and backup server), scaled to record 4 TV channels and 10 radio stations for 60 days. The server platform allows adding even more disk space.
