Large, ultimately reliable, future-proof a.k.a. IP-enabled, with extensive yet even expandable I/O system, with integrated advanced musical FX. These were the requirements that RTVS submitted with regard to the audio mixing console for their largest studio MD4, which is used primarily for the most demanding shows created by the Slovak public-right broadcaster.

The Lawo mc2 56mkIII with 64 faders, control system redundancy, DSP redundancy and audio routing redundancy together with modular Nova73 compact core fitted with 8 RAVENNA / AES67 / SMPTE ST2110 ports and numerous MADI and AES/EBU interfaces perfectly meet the uncompromised demands of RTVS. For the role of 4 interchangeable stageboxes and additional audioroom I/O (on top of Local I/O from the rear side of the console) the Lawo mc2 Compact I/O was chosen.

The new console provides multitude of operating scenarios - with up to 2 fully independent audio engineers at desk, additional unlimited assistents with iPad (Lawo Remote application) and audio technicians either on-site or remote thanks to the brilliant mxGUI software.
